Rebel Roots Collective ("we") runs breathwork sessions in Ottawa. This page explains what personal information we collect through rebelrootscollective.ca, why, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- When you reserve a spot: your name, email, phone number (optional), which path you're interested in, any notes you choose to add, that you agreed to our waiver, and whether you want our newsletter.
- When you join the Herd (our newsletter): your email address, and your name if you give it.
- When you email us: whatever you include in your message.
- Payments: you pay by Interac e-Transfer through your own bank. We see your name and the amount, never your banking details.
Please don't send detailed medical information through the website. If you have a health concern, tell us and we'll talk privately.
Why we use it
- To hold your spot, send you session details and payment instructions, and contact you about that session.
- To keep you safe in sessions, using what you tell us about your health.
- To send our newsletter, only if you asked for it. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.
- To keep the site's forms free of spam and bots.
We don't sell or rent your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who helps us
We use a few trusted services to run the site. Some store information outside Canada, mainly in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws.

Cloudflare Turnstile
Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people apart from bots. It runs invisibly in the background when you use a form, and collects limited technical information from your browser and device to do that check. Cloudflare uses this information under its own terms. Please see the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum for details.
Cookies and storage
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. If you change the site's accessibility settings, such as text size or colour mode, your choices are saved in your own browser so they stay the same next time. That information never leaves your device.
How long we keep it
We keep reservation details as long as we need them to run sessions and keep basic business records, then delete them. Newsletter details stay until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time with the link in any email.
- Ask to see, correct, or delete the information we have about you.
- Withdraw your consent, for example to being contacted.
To do any of these, email hello@rebelrootscollective.ca. We'll reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
